Austrian Wine, A Best-Kept Secret! Instructor: Anton Maletich

Austrian wines are considered by many to be one of the best-kept secrets in Europe. For the last few decades it has been very much in the shadow of neighbors Germany and Italy when it comes to recognition for its wines. But Austria has an incredibly long and fruitful history of winemaking, with evidence suggesting that vines were in existence there more than 60 million years ago. Their wines were also cultivated by the Celts and the Romans. We will be tasting four whites, one sparkling and one red from this elusive region. 

A delicious four course menu showcasing the tremendous quality and versatility of Austrian wines will be prepared. Join us Thursday, April 9th at 6:00 pm for this special evening. Five Wines, Four Courses, $150.00 per person plus gratuity.

Let's Get Cooking! Champagne Anyone? Instructors: Chef Chris Thielman & Sommelier Karen Thielman

Learn how to make the following three beautiful dishes that represent the Champagne region and how to properly taste Champagne.

Poulet in a Crémant Cream Sauce: Company worthy, this chicken dish made with sparkling wine and cream should be in everyone's repertoire. You will learn the tricks to make it tender and perfectly flavored.

Gougères: In this class you will master the art of making pâte à choux. This dough is typically used to make cream puffs, but we will be putting a savory spin on it to create this beloved French appetizer that is typically served with Champagne.

Pink Reims-Style Champagne Biscuits: You will learn the secret of how to make these slightly sweet pink biscuits.

Cost: $125.00 per person plus gratuity.
