February is the month for Bordeaux at L'École. Each February we celebrate this world famous wine region with a class and paired tasting menu. This year you will have the opportuniy to taste and learn about wines from Margaux, Saint Emilion, Pomerol, Graves and Sauterne. We will cover the different grape varietals, soils and a bit of history about the world's most famous vineyards.
This year we are also delighted to have Chef Chris Thielman (see full bio here) as our guest chef. Chef Thielman retired from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn after thirty-two years as a Culinary and Pastry Arts instructor. He holds certifications as a Certified Culinary Educator and a Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation.

Most people are familar with France's most famous Sauvignon Blanc Wine, Sancerre Blanc, but have you ever tasted a Sancerre Rouge? How about a Sancerre Rosé? At this class you get to experience some outstanding examples of what Pinot Noir from Sancerre tastes like in addition to a number of examples of Sancerre Blanc from varied terroirs!
Taste how the flinty soils of "La Cote des Monts Damnes", Those Damned Hills, influence that famous AOP and hear a little about the facinating history of this historic French region. We will explore Six Sancerre's from varied pedigrees accompanied by a Four Course dinner created by Chef Ryan Ries. Six Wines, Four Courses.

Celebrate with us: It's Suzette's 26th Anniversary and Bastille Day Celebration!
Celebrate with us at our Grand French Picnic featuring all-you-can-eat buffet. Enjoy grilled dishes, salads, our special Bastille Day Sangria and, of course, Suzette's Can-can girls! Robin Lucas will be hosting the event with music and laughter and maybe even a conga line. More details to follow but save the date. This popular event always sells out so make your reservations early.

Suzette's is pleased to help with your Thanksgiving and assorted holiday events. All pre-orders for Thanksgiving must be in by Sunday, November 22 to make a Wednesday November 25 pick-up.
All pre-orders for the Christmas Holidays must by in by Sunday, December 13 to make a December 24 pick-up. We will be open 8 am–noon for pick-ups on December 24.

Beaujolais Nouveau Day
All over France on Thursday, people will be celebrating the day when bottles of this year's Beaujolais Nouveau wine hit the shelves. Beaujolais Nouveau Day has become one of the best known festivals in France and is celebrated all over the world. This young wine, Beaujolais Nouveau, it is on the shelves between six to eight weeks after the grapes are harvested.
The release date of the Beaujolais was established in 1985. It was decided that the third Thursday in November would be the uniform release date. The main festival is in Lyon where barrels of Beaujolais Nouveau wine are rolled by wine-growers through the centre before being opened.
